On behalf of Buckets for Hunger, Incorporated, I thank you for your past generosity in supporting our efforts to fight hunger in Wisconsin. It is because of you and others like you that Buckets has been so successful in our efforts to fight hunger in our great state. Buckets has paid out over $1.8 million in grants to food pantries over the last nineteen years!
I now invite you to join us in our efforts again this year. The Buckets Board of Directors is proud to announce the date for the annual Trivia Challenge to Fight Hunger event is Thursday, October 16 at the Alliant Energy Center in Exhibition Hall. It will begin promptly at 7:00pm and the doors will be opened at 6:15pm for you to view the items that will be included in a silent auction that will run throughout the evening.
The cost of participation is the same as last year. It is $500 for a team and you are allowed a total of one to six individuals to be a part of your team. The prize money is 10% of all fees collected up to a maximum of $5000. Second prize is half of the first place amount to a maximum of $2500. The format is the same as last year. There are 75 multiple choice questions covering six plus decades and four categories including sports, news, music and entertainment. The evening is set to end at 9pm.
An open bar will be available and complimentary snacks.
Buckets cannot be successful without your generous participation in these efforts. Also, please consider contacting other individuals and companies to challenge them to come to the trivia challenge event and outscore you. That will make it more enjoyable for all involved and it will make it much more successful also. With your help and enthusiasm, the event grew from 25 teams participating in 2012 to 35 teams last year. Our goal is 50 teams for this year’s event and we genuinely need your help to get there.
